Kayla grew up in the scenic, small town area of Berkshire County. She's always been doing something related to the performing arts, from taking ballet classes for 9 years, putting on elaborate (yet silly) skits for her family during Thanksgiving, acting in school musicals (elementary and high school), and writing her own songs and singing to the 20 year old guitar her Aunt handed down to her. When Kayla was 12, she directed, acted in, and designed a play she wrote for her school, with the help of the Berkshire Theater Group Program that came to work with her class. She was awarded a scholarship to attend their playwrighting and acting camp. Kayla repeated history in her Senior Ensemble, where she and three of her classmates wrote, directed, and acted in their own original play. They won a monetary theater award for this from their school, acknowledging the exemplary play they put on for the public.
Kayla graduated from Wheaton College with a BA in Theater and Political Science, and completed the Summer Meisner Conservatory at the Acting Studio in NYC with James Price. Her skills include a vast array of sports including boxing, kickboxing, Krav Maga, rockclimbing and bouldering, and archery, along with singing, writing, and guitar.
